Près des trois-quarts de la population française (73 %) soutiennent l’organisation d’un référendum sur le droit des animaux, selon une étude Ifop réalisée pour le site d’information spécialisé sur les chiens Caniprof. Les personnes interrogées sont largement favorables à ce que des mesures soient prises pour la protection des animaux.
Sept électeurs sur dix (71 %) affirment qu’ils signeraient volontiers la pétition, nécessaire à la validation de la procédure de référendum d’initiative partagée (RIP). Début juillet, le projet de RIP a été lancé par plusieurs grands chefs d’entreprises français et il est soutenu notamment par le journaliste Hugo Clément, Nicolas Hulot, Juliette Binoche ou encore Yann Arthus-Bertrand, précise Le Parisien.
