Victoria, a resident of the Catalunya district in Perpignan, is upset after her cat, Crokmou, 3 years old, died at the vet's reports actu.fr. The day before, the family pet was victim of an attack with a pellet gun a few meters from their house.
While her son was in the gardenhe saw Crokmou come home staggering and unwell. Victoria initially thought it was poisoning, but as she held her cat in her arms, she was unable to find the cause, she noticed that he was bleeding. She immediately took him to the vet.
The animal underwent a battery of tests, but his condition rapidly worsened. Victoria had to make the difficult decision to attempt a last chance operationbut unfortunately, the damage was too great and Crokmou died of cardiac arrest on the operating table. The veterinarian found several pellets in the animal's body, there is no doubt that Victoria's cat was shot with a rifle.
Victoria is angry and sad, she said: " It wasn't just a cat, it was a family member" . She decided to file a complaint at the police station with the veterinarian's report in support. In addition to this, she also contacted the Brigitte Bardot Foundation and the Humane Society (SPA) for advice and support. The perpetrators of these acts have not yet been found.
