After the earthquake in Turkey, a rescuer searching for survivors managed to free a cat trapped under the rubble, and since then the bond between the animal and its rescuer has become very strong, so much so that they have become inseparable.

On Monday, February 6, Turkey was hit by an earthquake that killed thousands of people. Since the disaster, rescue teams have been working intensively to search for anyone who may have survived under the rubble of collapsed buildings.

Within days, several people were found alive, including a mother and her 10-day-old baby, a brother and sister, and a 3-year-old girl, all trapped under the rubble. However, rescuers assisted not only human beings, but also animals that were discovered after the earthquake.

Rescuer rescues cat trapped under rubble

A man discovered a cat trapped under the debris and rescued it by pulling it out of the rubble. Since this intervention, the animal and its rescuer have become very close, as the cat refuses to leave the rescuer and prefers to nestle on his shoulder rather than regain its freedom.

Besides the rescued cat, other animals were found after the earthquake, such as another cat in Hatay, a bird in Malatya and a dog named Pamuk in Iskenderun. These animals, which were under the debris for more than 48 hours in some cases, were found alive. This good news brings some comfort after the disaster in the country.
