Many families with pets to pay attention to the food of their soldiers, even if it means paying the price. But did you know that the kibble industry has sniffed out this opportunity? Behind great brands are hidden dishonest recipes.
With the help of a report from the program Capitaland a survey conducted by Forevergreen we show you that some industries just want to make a profit...
It is not at all surprising that all major brands are owned by large multinational companies.
"meat and meat by-products (minimum 4% of duck and minimum 4% of turkey), vegetable protein extracts, fish and fish by-products, cereals, minerals, sugar, additives..." what does this mean?
Sick animals and expired meat
The "meat" part of products such as croquettes, is very generally meat meal - it is even clearly written sometimes - and animal fat. All of this might fit - for the most lax - in the basic idea that it is meat, but these products would be purchased from rendering companies: sick farm animals who have been treated with various medications including antibiotics, euthanized for various reasons or rotting.
In some cases, we can find expired food from various large-scale retailers. Some rendering companies would not even bother to remove the packaging - in the form of various plastics.
Forevergreen note even:
"In some countries dogs and cats, euthanized by veterinarians, may take the path to rendering to be processed into meat meal and animal fat."
What foods are in what is called meat then?
- Spouts
- feathers
- legs
- clogs
- skins
- urine
- mammary glands
- tumors
- faeces, etc...
Diseases and allergies due to plant waste
THE of the composition of the kibbles is made of cereals and vegetable waste.
These last ones coming from the various factories of transformation of the dry food for our hairy, would be even of batches decommissioned for human consumption (due to bad storage conditions, humidity, mould, etc.) and are therefore unfit for consumption. In animals, these cereals can cause the mycotoxicosis (food poisoning by mycosis - fungi), potentially lethal!
We can note these different vegetable wastes:
- The glutens in various forms - residues from mills in particular indigestible. These same glutens are involved in food allergies, kidney failure, skin disease (itching, pimples, flaking...)
- The transgenic soybean meal - obtained after extraction of often rancid oils, as an interesting contribution in proteins.
- The cellulose - an ingredient according to the manufacturers particularly digestible which is nothing but a cumbersome and inexhaustible waste from sawmills.
Rich in vitamins: False!
"The way food is prepared deteriorates absolutely all the vitamins of the raw materials used, in the end added synthetically. Let's not forget the dose of chemical dyes integrated to lure pet owners about the quality of the food," explains Forevergreen.
Use of scandalous carcinogens
Numerous scandals have demonstrated the addition of other substances, such as :
- the melamine (substance from plastic) used illegally to increase the protein level raw in pet food
- from BHTa controversial conservative because of his carcinogenic properties
- of the death to the rat ...
Of course, these substances have caused the death of thousands of dogs and cats in the world.
"It seems obvious that industrial pet food is nothing more than poison."
This food is involved in many diseases, it alters the health and longevity of our companions, and would even be the cause of bad odors of the coat, breath, fecal matter.
