The Tarn-et-Garonne Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS 82) was called to the commune of Bruniquel, located in the east of the department, on Saturday, February 25, 2023, after a dog fell from a height of about 20 meters in the early afternoon. Fortunately, the dog escaped unharmed from this incident, according to information provided by the fire department.
There were no injuries
Around 3 pm this Saturday, the rescue services were called after a dog fell from a cliff of the castle of Bruniquel, from a height of about 20 meters. The teams specialized in interventions in dangerous environments, the Grimp, were dispatched to the scene to bring up the animal safely.
After being recovered, the dog was examined by firefighters and showed no injuries. Firefighters reported that the fall was mitigated by tree branches, which limited the impact of the dog's 20 meter fall. Following this event, the owner of the animal was informed and was able to safely retrieve his dog. Fortunately, this is a story with a happy ending.
